Macedonian Ajvar

Ajvar is the most favorite Macedonian traditional food. The process starts at the beginning of fall/winter season. The preparation of ajvar is difficult process, but in the end it is very delicious.



                              The ingredients 
  • 20kg of red peppers
  • 2 l sunflowers oil
  • salt to taste 

                               Preparation
  1. Bake peppers on a stove, peel and clean seeds.


     2. Grind peppers in a meat grinding machine and place mixture into a large pot and start to cook.
     

     3. Cooking time should be around 3 hours.




     4. Its takes about 1 day to finish the whole process.
